Following on from their playful adventure of hide and seek, Elephant and Penguin welcome their friends into this story. Not only are they coming over to play, but they also enjoy making pikelets and then making decisions on what topping they will chose.
Their friends are Eddie the Kiwi (named after Sir Edmund Hilary), Marlu the Kangaroo (said, 'Mar-law', a common name for kangaroos in Aboriginal nations) and Ava the Squirrel (a popular name for girls in England).
When your child has friends over, there are preparations they can make. Elephant and Penguin model this for your child. They tidy up. They prepare food. They welcome their friends. They offer choices to their friends. They thank God for their food. They play. They say goodbye.
